Veterinary Services in Milton, FL

All pets coming to Accessible Veterinary Care for surgery receive a pre-surgical examination to assess their health and ensure they are good candidates for anesthesia. They will receive injectable anesthetic agents, oxygen supplementation, monitoring with electronic equipment, and staff oversight. In addition, they will receive pain medications before, during, and after surgery to keep them as comfortable as possible. An e-collar (cone of shame) is strongly recommended to be used during the post-op recovery period of 10-14 days for all pets receiving surgery. Failure to use an appropriate barrier, such as an e-collar, may result in infection, inflammation, or even failure of the incision site, which will require additional treatments. The cost of the surgery does not cover any complications that occur due to failure to follow recommended post-operative instructions and will result in additional charges that are the responsibility of the pet owner.

Any animal found to have fleas at the time of exam/surgery will be given a single dose of flea medication (Capstar) that lasts 24 hours. This service will be charged to the client for $9.00
